What is Pallet Racking used for?
All across the UK and in the EU, products are stored in warehouses and supermarkets on wooden pallets. Wooden pallets are crate-like structures with a base and no sides. These wooden pallets have a strong grid structure specifically designed to be manoeuvred by a forklift.
Pallet racking is the framework on which these pallets are stored, normally in large industrial-sized quantities. Pallet racking takes advantage of height to store products and can be accessed quickly and easily. This also means it’s very easy to see what product you have.
The racking is an upright framework that stores commercial products in a safe and space-efficient way.
What is Pallet Racking made of?
The vertical height of pallet racking is made of steel posts which are mounted to base plates at the bottom to keep its balance.
Who might have Pallet Racking?
Anyone from landlords renting out warehouses to commercial shop owners and tenants with a dilapidation clause in their contract. Dilapidation companies and demolition companies might also have pallet racking.
